I hope everyone enjoyed the Winter Break and is returning to school refreshed with a renewed commitment to learning!  I'm excited that your back and we have many engaging activities planned this week.  We will begin to prepare to create our argumentative research paper based on the following prompt: ​ Is a college education valuable? Your essay must be organized as an argument in which you assert a precise claim, support it with reasons and evidence, and acknowledge and refute counterclaims fairly.

CLASS ANNOUNCEMENTS
R&J:60 MONEY DUE NOW.  Remember the cost is $7 and you can pay via cash or check (made out to Pebblebrook).   This is for the March 19, 2018 performance of the adaptation of Romeo and Juliet during 2nd and 4th block. 
9TH GRADE LIT TUTORING TUESDAYS AND THURSDAYS. Tutoring is available on Tuesday and Thursday at 3:45 pm -5:00 pm (those with 5th Block may attend starting at 4:15pm).  Bus transportation is available for any student zoned for Pebblebrook.   

READ ACROSS AMERICA DAY - Friday March 2nd. In support of our Independent Reading Program we will have a special event on Friday to celebrate READING!  More details to come...
