MONDAY: You will have a mini-lesson on MLA Citation and create a MLA flipbook. In addition, you will have an opportunity to explore the Opposing Viewpoints database on the Cobb County Digital Library ( https://cobb.mackinvia.com/ ) Finally you will decide on a topic and develop a claim.
TUESDAY: You will continue to research your chosen topic. You will search for textual evidence to support your claim. You will organize your evidence and develop three reasons that support your claim. You will place all of this information into your Argumentative Research Folder.
WEDNESDAY - We will elevate your writing by using an Argumentative Writing Workshop. You will get the opportunity to refine your claim, address counterclaims and acknowledge any bias present in your textual evidence.
THURSDAY - Argumentative R.A.C.E. practice. Using two separate articles on the same issue you will write a comparative essay using the graphic organizers and information from the week.
