This week we will identify and use the rhetorical appeals of ethos, pathos or logos to develop our own writing. We will look for online examples of ethos, pathos and logos. We will examine and analyze the rhetorical appeals of Letter from Birmingham Jail. You will use this model to create your own arguments.
This week we will learn how to use the rhetorical appeals of ethos, pathos and logos to develop arguments for developing our press releases and marketing materials for our Branding Project! There will also be a special event this Friday in the Media Center! Students are encouraged to come dressed to impress for this special activity!
This week we will continue to conduct research for your Rebrand Your School projects. Please remember that the Mission Statement, Logo and Tagline are due on February 9th. The Press Release is due February 16th and we will have brand presentations on March 2. Sentence patterns will also be a continued focus. We will take time to review "Real World" examples of our current 9 sentence patterns, write and revise our mission statements, study the rhetorical appeals of ethos, pathos and logos and analyze narrative perspective.
